📖 More about the product

What is Tejpatta?
Tejpatta, also called Indian bay leaf, comes from the Cinnamomum tamala tree. Unlike European bay leaves, Tejpatta has a more complex aroma with warm, sweet and spicy notes of cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. These spice leaves are an integral part of North Indian cuisine.

Why TRS bay leaves?
TRS stands for quality and authenticity. The carefully selected bay leaves are offered in 30g packs - ideal for private households or professional kitchens. They are vegan, halal, gluten-free, lactose-free and fit perfectly into a low-carb diet. TRS products are particularly popular with fans of Indian cuisine as they guarantee the highest quality spices.

Usage tips:
The leaves are ideal for cooking in rice dishes such as biryani or pulao, in curries such as korma or in spicy lentil dishes. They also develop a delicate aroma in soups and stews. It is important to remove the leaves before serving as they are not suitable for consumption.
